Oh boy....what can I say about Xenogears. Well I'm positive that some of the people who read this have google'd the name, in a vain attempt to find out what this is. Most of you will look at the cover and say "Is this related to Xenoblade/Xenosaga?" and the answer is no/yes it is related to Xenosaga sorta.....as in: it occupies the same universe but Xenogears happens way after Xenosaga III. I think that if Xenogears were to be retitled it would be Xenosaga V: Xenogears. Now I said it was a vain to look this game up online because the only way to experience is for your self. The writing in this is phenomenal. Every character is fleshed out and has a motive, even the antagonists all have valid reasons for doing everything they do. The over arcing story is long and I mean it, this game clocks in at 65 hours. That's not even the half of it, apparently the studio that was making it ran out of time and money, as a result the game remains half finished. That is not to say that it just stops, no, they got the final dungeon finished and the story still wraps up nicely, but on the second disc expect to be hit with a few walls of text explaining what happens. The story is complex almost needlessly, almost. This game is not needlessly padded. If you grind you do it for your own reasons, not because the game makes you. To add to my gushing, you do not find out who the final boss is until the last five hours of the game and it's not an ass pull. It was hinted at the whole game. So if you enjoy good stories this is one to experience.
