At first I was thinking about doing Sailor Moon, but that was too easy. Then I thought of Armatage III, witch has good visuals, is a convoluted mess and requires several viewings to get anything that goes on in it. What to do, what to do. Ah Baccano!, is still a convoluted mess and a little easy, but can be viewed once to get every thing. Baccano! follows the main characters: Ennis, Maiza Avaro, Isaac Dian, Miria Harvent, Luck Gandor, Chane Laforet, Czeslaw Meyer, Firo Prochainezo, Ladd Russo, Jacuzzi Splot, and Clair Stanfield. I know that's allot of main characters to fit into one story, but not to worry, they don't, they fit into three. that's right three different stores in three different times. One time in 1711 aboard a boat involving alchemy, next is 1930 in a probation style gangster story, and then 1931 on a train takeover gone wrong. All of these events and timelines are visited simultaneously and you are taken to exactly the character and time the story needs to advance. In anyone else's hands this might be a confusing, hard to understand "thing" but Ryohgo Narita pulls it off beautify. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
