Futurama

What is a show without comedy, and what is a show where you laugh? Where are the toys and the sleazy marketing? Where are the smiling faces? The smiling faces can be seen in the viewers faces. The sleazy marketing is nowhere to be seen. The show where you laugh has a name, Futurama. The show is a wonder of good ideas a good choices for actors. The way it has story continuity is something to see.

Pressed for time today, watch this.

Harry Potter

I know most people know about it but I still wanted to do it. Harry Potter, is one of the most character driven stores that I can remember. It has episodic adventures, each book has a nice opening and satisfying end, yet each of them contributes to the overarching story in it's own way. The antagonist is ever present and mentioned at least once in every book. The writing is simple and yet is a complex minatory of symbolism. Writing for children who become young adults couldn't have been easy, the way kids work out things is a little deferent than adults. Kids aren't dumb, they tend to be naive in the way they think. That's my contribution to this, read it.

Samurai 7

Do you like long sweeping stores? Interesting characters that drive the plot? Fantastical settings that can can seem so real? If you said yes to any of these questions, and even if you didn't, then Samurai 7 is for you. Samurai 7 is based on the widely popular movie Seven Samurai, but this adaptation is set in a future-like setting where a farming village hires seven ronin to fight bandits. The premise couldn't be simpler, but the execution is how this anime shows off. The way characters interact is the best part (for me) of the show, plus I like how the main villain was introduced. Also the way all the places they visit are all nice in their own way, meaning that all of them have there own little charm about them that I found enticing. The story goes from simple to complex slowly at first, and I swear you will jump out of your seat at the climax, I know I did. You need to see it to know what I'm talking about, so do so.

Well, that happened.

And happen it did, to my face! As of the 24th I'll do reviews again, but limited as I have time constraints that limit me (like a job) and I don't have the free time I used to. So see you then, if you read this at all......

My Life

My life is a mess and it's interfering with this blog. Trying to catch up with the reviews is then interfering with my actual writings. Sorry to those of you who actually read this but I need some time off to fix things, but don't worry the reviews will continue at a latter date.

See you on the flip side.

Being Human

What a delight living is. I can't imagine just going to live in a cave somewhere, oh sure I could live but I would be so bored.Talking with people now and then has become one of my secret joys. I could never alienate myself from the rest of humanity 100% and that's why Being Human draws a good amount of my interest. Seeing people trying to "rejoin" humanity is almost funny to me, not because of their situation but because of mine, and that's all I'll say on that. Back to the show; it's about a werewolf, a vampier, and a ghost all trying to be what they're not, human. Just for the record, I have seen both the American and the British versions, if I were to give a read into their shared story well......the British one is better if only for the actor who play the vampier, he has such subtlety in the way he does it. You can just feel the age oozing off of him sometimes, unlike the American actor who just comes across as angsty. Not a bad watch.

I really need to plan better.

Ya'know. I was going to do a whole week of vampires, but when I got to this point I realized I haven't played one single game with a vampier in it. So the best I can do is give a recommendation for Devil May Cry 2, I hear good things.
